Revanta Sarabhai -one of the few male Bharatanatyam soloists of his generation will be performing Bharatanatyam themed on ‘Role of Youths and volunteers in achieving Sustainable Development Goals’ during the India Volunteering Conclave 2019 and International Youth Day on 8th and 9th August 2019.
Trained in Bharatanatyam under Guru Smt. Maheshwari Nagarajan among others at the Darpana Academy of performing arts, Revanta has perfected his technique under the mentorship of his grandmother, legendary dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai and is strongly influenced by his mother, renowned Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancer, Mallika Sarabhai.
Revanta will be combining his classical dance training with the theme of the events to create a work of art that is cutting-edge, immersive, and relevant to the society and times we live in.
